Elkwood Golf Course is located on the Sturgis
Airport property one-half mile east of Sturgis on US Hwy 60 West. Elkwood is a 9
hole public course, featuring Bent Greens, Bermuda Fairways and Bermuda Tee
Boxes. It plays 3082 yards. It is described as moderately difficult as a golfer
is required to accurately place each shot to avoid trees, tall roughs and water.
Tee times are not required but a phone call to the Pro-Shop (270-333-2299) is
suggested to determine what course activity might delay or prohibit play.
The course offers cart rental, club rental and a driving range. You can also use
your own cart for a rolling fee or walk and enjoy the country setting. It is
open year round, weather and conditions permitting. If you are visiting from out
of town please put a round of golf at Elkwood Golf Course on your list of things
to do.
